5 - Finding a Jabber

Ratings

There are two ways to search for a Jabber on Jabberwot:
Using the search box in the top right. Simply enter one or two words that describe what you wish to learn about.
Alternatively, click "Browse Jabbers" in the menu at the top. This allows you to browse all our Jabbers based on category of the subjects that they know.
Either way, you will be presented with a list of Jabbers that matches what you are looking for. Each Jabber will have 4 ratings associated with him/her. Use the ratings to help you choose the best match.

6 - Arranging a Meeting

Arrange a meeting

Once you have found the perfect Jabber, click the "arrange a meeting" button to the right of the Jabber subject details on the Jabber's profile. On the next page you can select the type of meeting, the meeting date and time, the time zone of the meeting and the length of the meeting. The time zone allows you to ensure that you and the Jabber are both working on the correct time. If you and the jabber live in different time zones, the jabber can change the time zone to see the meeting time in his/her location.

7 - Your meeting page and your meeting

The Jabber will be notified that you wish to have a meeting with him/her and on what subject. The meeting page will allow you to discuss the meeting. You, as the instigator, will be able to change the details of the meeting, until they are compatible with the Jabber's. The Jabber can then "finalise" the meeting. This makes further changes impossible. You and the Jabber should then exchange contact details on the message board, allowing you to complete your meeting. Once the meeting is over, as long as it has been finalised, you will be sent an email inviting you to rate the Jabber, which will allow you to rate the jabber based on the 4 criteria of Passion, Interest, Knowledge and Reliability.

8 - Sign up

Now you've seen how Jabberwot works, why not sign up and have a look around or become a Jabber and sell or give your knowledge.
